There are many different degrees of inspections and Inspectors, so please don't make the mistake of thinking all Inspectors and their inspections are the same, because I can assure you, we are all VERY DIFFERENT. Different Inspectors have varying qualifications, experience, equipment, reporting methods, and yes, different pricing. I perform (1) inspection per day, that’s it. I devote the entire day to advising you of the condition of one of the biggest financial investments you may ever make in your lifetime. Most Inspectors try and perform (2), (3) or even (4) inspections per day, concentrating on volume and not quality. Unfortunately, with traffic, travel time and unforeseen variables, this leaves approximately (2) hours per inspection. It is impossible to perform a proper inspection in (2) hours. Our average inspection time on a 1600 square foot home, is approximately (5) hours.
The best analogy I can give you regarding "QUALIFICATIONS | EXPERIENCE | TIME | PRICING" in the Real Estate Inspection industry would be:

CANCELATION POLICY:
If your scheduled Inspection or Structural Evaluation is canceled less than (48) business hours (Monday - Friday) prior to your Inspection or Structural Evaluation, A-PLUS Inspection Services, PLLC reserves the right to charge a fee equal to the amount of the Inspection or Structural Evaluation fee.
TRAVEL FEE POLICY:
If your Real Estate Inspection or Structural Evaluation is further than (30) miles from our home office in Leander, you will be assessed a ($2.00) per round trip mile travel fee. For example, if your scheduled Inspection or Structural Evaluation is (50) miles from our office, you will be invoiced for (100) round trip miles and a travel fee of ($200).
